Providing for the Gifted Child
No home education program in the world boasts more gifted students than Clayborn Hall

  • What is a gifted child?

    • There are many forms and aspects of giftedness: creative, academic, musical, artistic.  The Clayborn Hall Gifted Child Program is intended for the academically gifted.

  •  Exactly what does academically gifted mean?

    • By Clayborn Hall standards, an academically gifted child is any child under the age of sixteen who has been tested by a state certified psychologist, or has taken Clayborn Hall Placement Test, and has an Intelligence Quotient of 137 or greater.

  • What's the difference between the Clayborn Hall Gifted Child Program and the regular Clayborn Hall curriculum?

    • All courses are tailored to meet the abilities, needs, and particular talents of each student, but the Clayborn Hall Gifted Child Program differs in the following ways:

      • Within the Clayborn Hall Gifted Child Program, a student may advance as quickly as his or her abilities and personal drive permit.  They are permitted to "test through" entire sets of lessons.

      • A student in the Clayborn Hall Gifted Child Program is given more personal attention than a regular student, and is required to attempt more written and practical assignments.

  • If my child is gifted, is she or he required to enroll in the Clayborn Hall Gifted Child Program instead of the regular Clayborn Hall curriculum?

    • Absolutely not!  If you believe you and your child are better suited to a standard curriculum than the gifted child program, you are welcome to do just that.

  • If I enroll my child in the Clayborn Hall Gifted Child Program, must I employ a Clayborn Hall Online Teacher to assist me?

    • Each and every student enrolled in Clayborn Hall's Gifted Child Program is assigned an Online Teacher.  The degree to which a parent or child elects to use that teacher is strictly optional.  However, all Clayborn Hall exams will be graded by the Online Teacher and not be the parent.

  • What is the cost of the Clayborn Hall Gifted Child Program?

    • Regardless of the grade, the current cost of  the Clayborn Hall Gifted Child Program averages $396.00 per year above the standard curricula tuition fees.
